Here’s what’s new on the Adventures of JK Thang

That’s not your father’s JK

Last week I stopped by HigherGround Fab & Offroad to drop off parts and get the latest on the Hemi Install. It was a good time spent looking at the progress made and reviewing the questions Jim had for me. For more details of not only the Hemi install but the brakes and other modifications check out our latest “Hemi Build Update.”

A few months ago we started seeing Jeep inspired fire pits like this at the King of the Hammers but what we didn’t know was one of us would be going home with one! This bad ass fire pit just makes sense for the jeepin’ or RV enthusiast for a number of reasons. Check out our review of the fire pit/BBQ by Dirty’s Garage here.

Say hello to my little friend…Mopar Crew Chief concept vehicle on the trails of Fins and Things

To say the trip 50th Easter Jeep Safari trip was a blast for us would be a bit of an understatement. We had the compressed time frame in which we build up our little TJ into a Rock Crawler on 35″ tires fully locked diffs to allow us the ability to keep up with our JK friends and it paid off. But the true adventure for us began when we left on the trip going from Monument Valley where we sleep under the stars and had an amazing sunrise to Moab to Lake Powell and eventually ending up in the Grand Canyon exploring the Kaibab and Grand Canyon National Forests. Were still going through the thousands of pics we took during our trip and will have a recap in the coming days but one place we wanted to share is Horseshoe Bend in Page, Arizona. It’s a beautiful scenic destination that anyone experience with merely a short 1.5 mile hike out to the lookout.

Horseshoe Bend is a must do destination!
